“Accuracy without adherence is a lab metric. Adherence without accuracy is a habit attached to bad data. We measure both.”
Who is Dr. Liu Wei?
Liu Wei runs the part of the benchmark that doesn't fit in a unit test: whether a real person is still logging on day 84. They lead the CCS-ADH adherence panel — 487 participants across 21 countries, recruited per a documented sampling frame, each randomly assigned to a tracker for the full 12-week window. Liu's PhD work at NTU was on long-tail engagement in habit-forming apps, and the friction-point taxonomy they developed there is what TCCS uses to code qualitative interview transcripts. They are the strongest internal voice for not over-weighting raw accuracy: if an app is more accurate but no one is still using it in week 12, the benchmark needs to reflect that.
